Dock Construction

Custom Docks Designed for Waterfront Living

At Summertime Deck & Dock, we believe docks are more than planks over water—they’re opportunities to create something extraordinary.  Whether it’s peaceful mornings with a fishing pole, lively afternoons with family and friends, or launching into your next adventure, we build docks designed around your lifestyle.

As the premier dock builders in central Florida, we believe the best docks check every box: safe, sturdy, and tailored to how you use them. That’s why we combine smart design, innovative features, and high-quality materials to create docks that aren’t just built to last—they’re built to be enjoyed, season after season.

Why a Custom Dock is a Game-Changer in Central Florida

A one-size-fits-all dock? No thanks. Your waterfront should work for you, and a custom dock makes all the difference. Here’s why:

  • Step Right In – Whether it’s boating, jet skiing, or just dipping your toes in, a dock designed for you makes water access a breeze.
  • Serious Curb Appeal – A great dock isn’t just useful—it turns your shoreline into a showpiece and adds real value to your home.
  • Made for Your Good Times – Love to fish? Need a sunbathing spot? Want the ultimate dock party setup? We design around your lifestyle.
  • Next-Level Features – Hidden storage, boat lifts, personal watercraft lifts, built-in lights—whatever makes your dock experience better, we can build it in.

Custom Docks Built for Your Perfect Waterfront

No two shorelines are the same, and your dock should be designed to match your space and lifestyle. Here’s what we build:

  • Custom Docks – Tailored to your property and built tough to handle Florida’s unique waterfront conditions.
  • Multi-Level Docks – Extra space, extra function—tiered docks give you more room for seating, storage, and entertaining.
  • Specialized Docks – Whether it’s boat lifts, covered docks, or a fishing setup, we customize every detail to fit your needs.

Boat Houses & Roof Structures

Looking to protect your boat and upgrade your waterfront? Our boat houses and roof structures keep your vessel safe while adding style to your dock.

  • Boat Houses – Custom-built to match your home and made to stand up to the elements.
  • Roof Structures – Choose from shingle, metal, tile, or even add an upper deck—yes, we can even build a helipad!
  • Modern Boat Slips – Designed for today’s boats with upgraded electrical systems and sleek, high-quality decking.

Give Your Dock a Fresh Start With a Total Dock Renovation

If your dock is more “barely standing” than “built to last,” it’s time for an upgrade. We’ll tear down the old, worn-out structure and replace it with a modern dock designed for strength, style, and longevity. With upgraded decking, smart electrical systems, and a layout that works for you, your new dock will be ready for anything.

Built-In Lounging & Seating

Relaxing by the water just got a serious upgrade:

  • Integrated Hammocks – Suspended from the decking for the ultimate waterfront nap spot.
  • Pop-Up Lounge Seating – Chaise lounges that fold out from the decking for built-in sunbathing.
  • Custom Benches & Seating – Designed to fit seamlessly into your dock’s layout.

  • Ceiling Fans – Keep the air moving for a cooler experience.
  • Fire Pits – A cozy touch for evening gatherings.

Steps & Stairs for Water Access – Easy entry and exit for swimming and water activities.

Dock Construction FAQS

The best type of dock depends on your water conditions, intended use, and budget. We offer custom-built docks designed to withstand Florida’s waterfront environment, whether you need a floating dock for fluctuating water levels or a fixed dock for stability. We’ll help you choose the right materials and layout to match your lifestyle—whether it’s for boating, fishing, or relaxing by the water.
We can design docks with recessed boat lifts, jet ski platforms, and multi-use sections that provide convenient access to all your watercraft while maintaining a clean, organized look.
You can’t just build a dock out as far as you want—regulations cap it at a maximum water depth of 5 feet from the Normal High Water Elevation. If you’re mooring a boat, you’ll need at least 3 feet of water depth to keep it floating safely.
